Meet Erika Davis, PhD, Chief Operating Officer and Founder of Monarch Public Health Services, LLC. Dr. Davis's story began with a passion for helping small businesses and grassroots organizations succeed. She identified a need for personalized, results-driven evaluation and quality improvement consulting services and set out to establish a company to meet that need. Today, she continues to uphold the same passion and commitment to excellence.
Dr. Davis grew up on the south side of Chicago with personal and professional goals to work in public health, addressing social and structural issues that impact a person's ability to obtain optimal wellness. She completed her master's in public health at DePaul University and has a Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology from Walden University. Her research addressed social and structural barriers to safer sex among heterosexual female sex workers. Dr. Davis also has a strong passion for developing and educating others. She is an assistant professor in the public health program at Elmhurst University.
Dr. Davis has over 15 years of experience managing, directing, and evaluating public health programs that address care and prevention for HIV-positive people, homeless prevention for women, alternative sentencing programs for women involved in the sex trade, returning citizens, and access to primary care and supportive services. She is committed to the community and continues to work toward addressing issues specific to the African American community.
